The Toboggan Park In Wisconsin That Will Make Your Winter Unforgettable

Discover the best hiking trails in the Pacific Northwest, known for their stunning scenic views and diverse landscapes.

As long as we've got to live through a cold, snowy winter here in Wisconsin, we may as well enjoy it. One of the best ways to get outside and have a ton of winter fun is to grab a sled and spend some time with the wind in your face as you travel down a hillside. But those lucky enough to be near Stevens Point have an even better option. Tucked into Iverson Park are not one but two 300-foot toboggan runs just waiting for you to come enjoy them.

Iverson Park is a public park in Stevens Point that is home to a winter wonderland of fun. The centerpieces are the toboggan runs.

There are two 300-foot toboggan slides for people to enjoy. You can bring a toboggan from home or rent a 6-foot or 8-foot padded toboggan from the park. Rental fees are $8 for an hour or $4 for half an hour.

There's just something so wonderfully nostalgic and old-school about a toboggan.

The chutes propel you down the hill and you'll catch plenty of speed as you slide on down.

What's not to love about a day together outdoors enjoying the snow and winter weather in Wisconsin?

Gather up your friends and family and prepare to huddle close.

Heading down the toboggan hills at Iverson Park is a truly amazing winter experience.

In addition to the toboggan runs, there are nearby sled hills.

After you've rented the toboggan for a bit, hit the slopes with whatever sleds you have at home - including inner tubes!

There is a special six-and-younger sled hill as well as a nearby warming house. There's an ice rink for ice skating and there are stairs built into the side of the hill for easier returns to the top. Everything you could need for a family day of fun outdoors.
