Peninsula State Park is one of the most-visited state parks in Wisconsin, drawing about a million visitors every year. When you arrive at the park, you’ll know why – it’s located in the heart of Door County, between Ephraim and Fish Creek, two scenic and popular vacation villages.
The state park covers more than 3,700 acres and it has eight miles of shoreline. In fact, it’s the third-largest state park in Wisconsin. There’s plenty of room to find peace and tranquility, even on a busy summer weekend.
But the center of action in the park is Nicolet Beach. This pretty little stretch of sand swarms with visitors on warm summer days and it has an outfitter so it’s the place to go to launch an adventure in the park.
