There’s treasure to be found in the southeastern part of the Badger State. A huge Wisconsin antique mall is packed with wonderful and affordable items, and it’s located in the most unlikely of places: a school. School Days Mall has everything from sports memorabilia to Victorian furniture, and it’s the perfect destination, whether you’re a serious collector or just someone interested in seeing what you can find. Here’s a look inside School Days Mall.
School Days Mall is located in Sturtevant.
It’s a village of around 6,900 in Racine County, and it’s an easy day trip from Milwaukee and other communities in southeast Wisconsin.
For many years, the Sturtevant School was the place where local kids started their educational careers.
The large brick building was constructed in 1926, and thousands of kids attended school here.
But, eventually, the building became outdated, and in 1979, the Racine Unified School District put the building up for lease and, a few years later, for sale.
But there was as new chapter in store for this old school.
It was remodeled for commercial use, and a Wisconsin antique mall eventually filled the entire building
The mall is huge - the school had 14 classrooms, a gym, a library, and 28,000 square feet. Every bit is now filled with antiques and collectibles.
There’s a lot to discover at School Days Mall, and the selection is always changing.
It includes a lot of vintage and mid-century modern items. The mall has over 90 dealers and 300 vendors with consignment items. Allow plenty of time to see what you can find!
This Wisconsin antique mall is one of the state's largest; I plan to make a trip here soon. Learn more about School Days Antique Mall and see the current hours on the mall’s Facebook page. If you’re planning a trip to explore Wisconsin this season, here are some important things you won’t want to leave behind.
