Housed In An Igloo-Shaped Building, Daddy Maxwell’s Is One Of Wisconsin’s Most Unique Eateries

Daddy Maxwell’s in Williams Bay is a unique igloo-shaped diner known for its classic fare and quirky setting.

There are several characteristics that make a restaurant memorable. For some, it’s the fare. For others, it’s the setting. And if you’re lucky enough, you’ll find one where it’s both – and that’s exactly the case with Daddy Maxwell’s, an igloo-shaped eatery that serves up some great grub. Take a look:

This is Daddy Maxwell’s in Williams Bay.

It’s located in a building that was once occupied by the diner, Arctic Circle, which explains its igloo shape.

A local favorite, it’s been serving up great grub in a fun, quirky setting since 1987.

The unique structure was built sometime in the 1940s – and you can tell since the interior features lots of nods to the classic diners of decades ago, such as vinyl booths and countertop seating.

Of course, the circular-shaped dining area sets it apart from diners of the past, making it quite unique.

But there’s more to Daddy Maxwell’s than its unusual shape. There’s also its classic diner fare.

Though the menu is brimming with mouthwatering options for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, Daddy Maxwell’s is most known for its breakfast.

The early morning fare includes a hearty variety, including stuffed pancakes that barely fit on the plate.

Daily specials and Friday fish fries are also part of the eatery’s tasty offering.

So, are you ready to pay a visit to this igloo-shaped culinary gem?

Daddy Maxwell’s opens at 6 a.m. Wednesday – Monday. For more information, call (262) 245-5757. You can also check out Daddy Maxwell’s website or Facebook page.
