Open Since 1949, Rodeo Drive-in Theatre Still Provides Nostalgic Summer Magic for Families in Washington
Step back in time at Rodeo Drive-in Theatre, the iconic Washington drive-in where families have made unforgettable summer memories since 1949.
There’s something magical about a summer night, and here in Washington State, there is no shortage of warm-weather fun. However, if you are like me, my favorite summer nights are full of pure relaxation, are under the stars, and with the people I love—it’s time at a drive-in movie theater. Unfortunately, throughout the years, many drive-in theaters have closed their gates, and you'll only find a few hundred left in the U.S. However, located in Bremerton is one of the best. It is the Rodeo Drive-in Theatre.
No summer is complete in Bremerton and the surrounding areas without visiting Rodeo Drive-In. This family-owned, summer destination was built in 1949 and has delighted individuals for more than 75 years. It is also the largest drive-in theater in the Pacific Northwest, and a spot worthy of every bucket list.
While this drive-in theater still has the charm that you'd find decades ago, when you visit today, you'll find many modern amenities to ensure a picture-perfect night under the stars. Rodeo Drive-In features three large screens where you can watch the latest movies. The audio is broadcast to your car or you can listen via a portable FM radio. If you need, portable radios are available to rent at the snack bar.
We recommend that you arrive early, especially on a weekend evening, to make sure you get the best parking spot and to give you plenty of time to grab a snack. The snack bar is certainly not lacking. Here, you can purchase everything from popular snacks like popcorn and candy to full meals like burgers and fries, pizzas, corn dogs, their famous Philly Cheese Steak sandwich, and so much more.
And you’ll certainly want plenty of snacks as this theater shows double features. Your general admission ticket is good for both movies and ticket prices vary by age. Military discounts are available. You will want to visit the Rodeo Drive-in Theatre website for the most current gate opening times and show times as they do vary by the time of the year and the weather. Remember that parking is available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Summer nights in Washington State can be relaxing, exciting, and memorable, and Rodeo Drive-In Theatre in Bremerton provides nostalgic summer magic for families that you won’t find just anywhere.
