Wander Through 40 Types Of Sunflowers At This Summer Sunflower Festival In Virginia

Nothing says warm weather like the bright, colorful face of a sunflower. And this year, you can look forward to celebrating the season when you attend the annual summer sunflower festival in Virginia. This family-owned farm hosts all kinds of festive seasonal events throughout the year, but the Sunflower Festival might just be the most exciting of them all. In fact, you can look forward to wandering through no fewer than 40 different kinds of sunflowers when you attend!

Welcome to the beautiful Liberty Mills Farm in Somerset, Virginia! Established in 2010, this family-friendly farm is a great place to celebrate flowers, produce, and all things Virginia.

Each year, the farm hosts a variety of festivals. In late August, the Sunflower Festival is not-to-be-missed. This year, the festival is scheduled for August 26th - 27th and September 2nd - 4th, 2023.

During the Sunflower Festival, guests will be invited to explore the 6-acre farm and the dozens of different kinds of sunflower blooms.

As you can imagine, it's a photographer's dream! To get pictures with the best lighting, you can even sign up for a Golden Hour ticket.

Throughout the day, live music will add even more festivity to your experience.

Can't wait 'til August? We don't blame you! Be sure to stop by the farm for the annual Blooms & Butterflies, scheduled this year for July 29th - 30th, 2023.

Attendees are invited to pick a bouquet or entire bucket full of flowers to take home. There will also be refreshments such as lemonade and homemade ice cream to enjoy.
