Virginia’s Newest Roadside Attraction Is Wonderfully Bizarre

Here in Virginia, we know a thing or two about unique roadside attractions. These sites range from gorgeous to downright baffling, yet they are always worth stopping by. In that same spirit, we are excited to share about Virginia's newest roadside attraction: Dinosaur Kingdom II. Combining Civil War history and dinosaurs, this park is bizarre in the best kind of way.

See what's in store:

Dinosaur Kingdom II has officially opened for business and is located at 5781 S. Lee Highway

Natural Bridge, Virginia.

This quirky theme park tells the tale of the Civil War...if dinosaurs had been used as weapons against the South.

The site is set up as a wooded walking adventure, taking visitors through an action-packed exhibit of dinosaurs and soldiers in combat.

You may even find Stonewall Jackson himself in an epic battle against a Spinosaurus.

Mark Cline, the creator of Dinosaur Kingdom II, is known for his quirky roadside attractions and is also the creator of Foamhenge.

Cline named his park in honor of the original Dinosaur Land, located in White Post. He remembers visiting as a small child and dreaming of creating his own dino world someday.

There's even a Slime Theatre, an ode to Kline's first comic publication.

So if you can brave the quirkiness of this dinosaur attraction, you'll want to make the trip to Natural Bridge ASAP.

Dinosaur Kingdom II is open from 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM. The cost of admission is $10 for ages 13+ and $6 for ages 3 - 12.
