It's been said that big things come in small packages, so naturally, our little state has a few HUGE things of our own. That's right, these are the largest attractions in Vermont, and as a matter of fact, they're the largest in the world! Do you know any other things we have that are bigger - and better - than anywhere else? Here are seven of the world's largest things in Vermont.

4. World's Tallest Filing Cabinet

5. Vermont submitted an entry to the Guinness Book of World Records for the Largest Peanut Butter Cup
In 2013 the Village Chocolate Shoppe in Bennington submitted their giant peanut butter cup, vying for the world record. This confectionary delight weighed 230 pounds, was 59.5 inches wide, it used 70.1 pounds of milk chocolate, and just over 159 pounds of peanut butter to make this masterpiece. Today you can visit the shop and pick up a peanut butter cup the size of a cupcake!
Visit the Village Chocolate Shoppe website and Facebook page for more information.
6. World's Largest Zipper
Barre is known as the granite capital of the world, and the largest zipper is built out of large blocks of granite right from the town. At 74 feet long, it is located in an alley right on Main Street. The artist named it "Unzipping the Earth," which is appropriate since annual plants bloom within the blocks during warmer weather. You may have driven by this a thousand times and never knew to look! It's one of the most unique things to see in Vermont.
7. The World's Tallest Ladder Back Chair
This world record-breaker 19-foot chair has a history of bouncing back. The original was created in 1969 but over the years, it was affected by the elements and taken down in 2000. A new store, LaFlammes, purchased the land and made a replica. You'll want to read the history behind it here. (Unfortunately, LaFlammes is no longer in business.)
