There’s A Dinosaur Themed Playground In Texas Called The Dinosaur Park

The Dinosaur Park near Bastrop offers a family-friendly experience with life-size dinosaur replicas, a nature trail, and a dinosaur-themed playground.

Whether you're a kid or kid at heart, there's always something magical about stepping back into prehistoric times and walking with the dinosaurs. You can do just that at The Dinosaur Park, a family-friendly destination near Bastrop complete with life-size replicas, a dinosaur-themed playground, and plenty of photo-ops that'll whisk you away to the Jurassic age.

Equal parts fun and educational, The Dinosaur Park is a unique outdoor museum featuring realistic, life-size dinosaur exhibits.

You'll find it on Union Chapel Road in Cedar Creek.

The main attraction is a nature trail that weaves through a densely wooded landscape, where ancient beasts lurk around every corner.

Make a game out of seeing how many you can identify!

You'll see nearly three dozen dinosaurs in total, and many of the species on display once lived right here in Texas.

Each replica has been designed with the utmost accuracy in mind, right down to the colors and stripe patterns.

Other activities include a fossil dig, dinosaur-themed I Spy game, and several other learning opportunities for kids and adults alike.

There are also picnic areas available for use free of charge, and guests are welcome to bring their own food and (non-alcoholic) beverages.

At the end of the trail, a dinosaur-themed playground allows the littlest visitors to run wild and release any lingering pent-up energy.

Equipment includes swings, slides, and all the other usual suspects - with a prehistoric twist, of course.

Don't miss all the fun family photo-ops!

From hatched dinosaur eggs to an authentic Jurassic Park vehicle, there are so many picture-perfect ways to commemorate your trip.

Address: 893 Union Chapel Road, Cedar Creek, TX 78612.

Hours are 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. daily.
