A Day Of The Dead Festival Will Light Up The Streets Of El Paso, Texas This Fall

If you're like me and pack your fall calendar full of fun and festive events, I have exciting news for both of us. The annual El Paso Día de los Muertos parade is returning on October 28, 2023, and (as always) it promises to be a colorful, vibrant, and all-around unforgettable afternoon. Get your face paint out and prepare to have an amazing time.

Presented by the El Paso Museum of Art, the city's annual Día de Los Muertos celebration will once again return to the Downtown Arts District on October 28, 2023.

Festivities kick off at 4 p.m. sharp, and the event is free for all ages. There are numerous activities lined up, but the parade is by far the most highly anticipated of them all.

Colorful, elaborate floats make their way through the streets of downtown, offering plenty of photo-worthy moments (so be sure to bring a good camera!).

If you're interested in participating in the parade, you can apply on the El Paso Museum of Art website.

In addition to the parade, guests can enjoy performances of all kinds, hands-on activities, themed streetcar rides, a farmers' market, and more.

In the true spirit of the Día de los Muertos holiday, you will also see altars set up to honor the deceased.

So paint your face, throw on a costume, and get ready for a great time at El Paso's very popular Day of the Dead parade and celebration.

Visit the El Paso Museum of Art website for more information about the parade.

Have you ever attended the El Paso Día de los Muertos parade? If so, tell us your thoughts in the comments! While you're in town, I highly recommend checking out Franklin Mountains State Park - specifically the El Paso Tin Mines Trail. It's spooky, fascinating, and perfect for nature lovers.
