Enter A Life-Sized Barbie Dreamhouse Complete With Pink Food And Drinks At Popfancy Dessert Bar In Texas

It's Barbie's world - we're just living in it. That is the case, at least, when you visit Popfancy Dessert Bar in Houston, Texas between now and August 20. This limited-time pop-up event features themed food and drinks and - of course - pink everything, and it's a fun way for Barbie lovers of all ages to celebrate the release of the hit film. Here's everything you need to know about the Popfancy Dessert Bar Barbie Dreamhouse.

Located in the Bellaire Food Street in Houston, Popfancy Dessert Bar looks like your average, everyday strip center ice cream shop on the outside - but locals know that couldn't be further from the truth.

Specializing in all-natural popsicles that come in a variety of seasonal, gourmet flavors, the shop transforms into a different theme roughly once a month, so it's like entering a whole new world each time you visit.

Celebrating the release of the box office hit film, this month's theme is a life-sized "Dreamhouse Café." Open through August 20, this pretty-in-pink pop-up event is a fully immersive experience complete with themed food and drinks, live music, and more.

Before we dive into the menu, let's take a look around. The walls are covered in clothes and shoes that I could definitely see Barbie wearing, plus other fun (and, of course, pink) décor like flamingos.

There are also tons of photo-ops to help commemorate your time spent in Barbie's world.

When it comes to the sips and snacks, your options are plentiful. You'll see colorful drinks like the "Best Day Ever" (pictured), which is a strawberry coconut milk latte with fresh strawberries.

Other beverage choices include milkshakes, slushies, sweet tea, lemonade, and more. How adorable is this flamingo drink holder?

The fun doesn't stop there. You'll also see an array of delicious food options, from over-the-top ice cream sundaes to savory items like pesto pasta salad with "Barbie-Q" meatballs.

Shown here are the "Taffy Paws," which are paw-shaped mochi waffles drizzled with chocolate and condensed milk and served with your favorite flavor of ice cream (I recommend either strawberry or cotton candy to stay on-brand).

Walk-ins are welcome Monday-Thursday, but reservations are recommended on weekends due to longer wait times.
