An Adults-Only Polar Express Train Is Coming To Texas This Year And You Won’t Want To Miss It
You're never too old to revel in the magic of the holiday season - which is why I love the concept of an adults-only Polar Express train ride. The Galveston Railroad Museum came up with this unique idea, and I'm definitely buying a ticket. Meet Santa, travel to the North Pole, and hear the classic Polar Express story while you enjoy festive treats. It's a holly, jolly time for all!
All aboard! This is the Polar Express - adults-only style, that is!
For one day only (November 17, 2023), the Galveston Railroad Museum is dedicating a run of its annual Polar Express train ride to folks 21 and up, and it's going to be a blast.
The Galveston Railroad Museum never misses the chance to deck its halls for the holiday season.
It's impossible to be a Grinch in the presence of so much festive decor (and so many sparkling lights!).
But more jolly even than the most beautiful bough of holly is the Polar Express train, which embarks on a 60-minute journey to and from the North Pole.
The event is popular among families, but it's fun for all ages - even if you don't have any kids.
You can expect all the traditional pomp and circumstance on the adults-only train: hearing the original Polar Express story, meeting Santa, and enjoying delicious themed treats.
Speaking of treats, what's a Christmas train without hot cocoa?
Since it is an adults-only ride, alcoholic beverages are available in the museum food court (but they aren't allowed on the train itself).
You'll even get to see live entertainment (and a dance with Santa himself!).
Visit the Galveston Railroad Museum website or the Galveston Railroad Museum Facebook page for more information about the adults-only Polar Express train ride, and/or to purchase tickets.
What do you think about this fun, festive event? Tell us your thoughts in the comments! If you need some holiday-themed pajamas to wear on the train, I love the options on Etsy.
