With an Art Gallery, Coffee, Beer and Wine, All Good Books is a Must For South Carolina Booklovers

All Good Books is a gathering place for South Carolina bookworms, with regular events, beverages, snacks, and more than 10,000 books.

Independent bookstores are a highlight in any city. Whether traveling in my home state of Kentucky or overseas, if I pass a cozy bookshop, I'm going inside. They often have a calming and relaxed atmosphere, with quiet music, friendly employees, and, of course, excellent books! All Good Books is an independent bookstore in the Five Points district of Columbia, South Carolina, which is sure to please any book lover.

All Good Books opened on Harden Street in March 2023 with a team of dedicated employees and substantial community support. A Kickstarter campaign raised more than $75,000 to help fund its opening. Its founders hoped to create a space to host events, welcome the community, and sell fantastic books, coffee, beer, and wine.

The bookstore now offers more than 10,000 books of every genre, from children's books to award winners. It also sells audiobooks and ebooks through partners, allowing patrons to support the independent bookseller through digital purchases. All Good Books also fills bulk orders for schools and other organizations. The store's staff shares their book recommendations with customers and offers detailed explanations of some of their choices on the store's website.

All Good Books regularly hosts events, serving as a community hub for book enthusiasts of all ages. Its events include a Saturday morning Children's Story Time, where teachers and volunteers read picture books to children. It also hosts author book signings and book club meetings. All Good Books and the Nickelodeon Theater host a ReelTalk Book Club where those interested can read a book, watch its film adaptation together at the theater, and discuss it afterward. The bookstore also hosts artist events where artists share their inspiration and pieces displayed in a rotating gallery.

Snack and beverage options are available for patrons to purchase. The snack selection features pastries, oatmeal, granola bars, and more. Coffee drinks include cold brew, iced lattes, iced matchas, and hot coffee. Tea, lemonade, root beer, and juice boxes are also for sale. Wine is sold by the bottle or glass, and the beer selection includes IPAs, blondes, lagers, ciders, and more. I'd love to visit All Good Books with a friend and enjoy a drink while browsing. It's also the perfect place to meet fellow bookworms and chat about beloved titles.
