Adventure's never far, no matter in what corner of Pennsylvania we live. From hiking to scenic train rides, there's so much to do that we can never really get bored unless, of course, we feel like it. A one-of-a-kind adventure, a hot air balloon ride in Pennsylvania promises views we just won't find anywhere else. You might even want to add it to your bucket list.
Float high above Chester County, as you drink in the sheer beauty of the rolling hills and lush landscape below, aboard a hot air balloon with Air Ventures Hot Air Balloon Flights.
Although the hot air balloon flights usually last an hour, carve out at least three hours for the entire experience.
Weather permitting, flights depart either in the morning around sunrise or several hours before sunset. Air Ventures offers flights daily all year round.
The size of your hot air balloon will depend on how many passengers will take flight. Balloons can hold from two to six guests.
If you plan on bringing the kids along, they'll have to be at least 48 inches tall. Air Ventures recommends all passengers be at least 7 years of age.
Passengers who stand taller than six feet or who weigh more than 230 pounds must pay an additional fee.
For your comfort, dress for the weather on the day of your flight. You might also want to wear a hat, so the heat from the burners doesn't bother you.
Air Ventures recommends guests wear "clothes suitable for a walk in the country," including comfortable shoes. High heels and flip-flops are not permitted.
On the day of your flight, you'll arrive at Air Ventures, although take-off will be at one of six sites. The pilot will assess the weather conditions when deciding where to launch.
If you're up for even more fun, you can help the staff inflate and deflate the hot air balloon. You'll likely get dirty, so keep that in mind when deciding what to wear.
Don't forget your camera so you can capture some of the stunning views from the air. You might even want to pack your binoculars, too.
You can find all of the answers to your questions on the Air Ventures FAQ page.
