Experience An Unnerving Phenomenon At Gravity Hill In Pennsylvania

There are a few basic rules of physics that we generally depend upon, gravity being one of the big ones. What goes up must come down, right? Well, that's not always the case, or at least it doesn't appear to be the case at Gravity Hill in Pennsylvania. A bizarre optical illusion causes objects to appear to roll uphill on this innocuous-looking road outside of Pittsburgh. It is a popular spot for curious visitors who wish to experience this sensation firsthand.

McKinney Road is located in Allison Park, not far from Pittsburgh. It is the site of just one Gravity Hill in Pennsylvania. (There's another in Bedford.) If you visit the road and put your car in neutral, your car will appear to slowly roll uphill.

However, it's important to note that if you want to experience gravity hill, you must ensure that it is safe to stop your car and that no other cars are behind you. Only put your car in neutral when it is safe to do so and see what happens.

Other objects, such as balls, will also roll uphill. The strange phenomenon is the topic of debate; some say unique magnetism causes the reversal of gravity, although most people seem to agree it is an optical illusion.

Visit 601 McKinney Rd. in Allison Park to experience the gravity hill for yourself. Though rare, gravity hills are located elsewhere throughout the world.
