That's just what you can do at Mountain Creek Stable in Pennsylvania, and it's a one-of-a-kind autumn adventure.

Tucked in the Pocono Mountains, Mountain Creek Riding Stable in Cresco welcomes riders all year-around. Trail rides are especially pretty during the peak fall foliage.

If you have little or no experience riding a horse, you've come to the right place. Before your ride, you'll receive instruction on what to expect.

Mountain Creek Riding Stable offers both private and public trail rides. A seasoned guide leads both types of tours on a scenic ride that meanders along the creek.

Public trail rides are 45 to 50 minutes long, although you should allot at least an hour for your experience, which will include instruction prior to the ride.

Trail rides are perfect for both inexperienced and experienced riders, although guests must be at least seven years old and stand at least 50 inches. Riders under 18 must wear a helmet.

Make sure you arrive at least 15 minutes to a half an hour before your ride on the pretty woodland trail is set to begin.
