Along with being a nice way to spend the day, you'll only drive about 16 miles!

1. Kintersburg Covered Bridge

Indiana County is home to four covered bridges, including Kintersburg Covered Bridge. Passing over Crooked Creek, this Pennsylvania covered bridge opened in 1877. It cost a mere $893 to build and shuttled traffic over the creek until 1974. Kintersburg Covered Bridge boasts a Howe truss design, the only one of its style in Indiana County.

2. Harmon Covered Bridge

Harmon Covered Bridge was the last of the Indiana County Covered Bridges and was constructed in 1910. Nestled in Indiana County farm country, this Pennsylvania covered bridge crosses over Plum Creek. Built at a cost of just $525, construction took only 30 days. Today, it's a popular spot for snapping photos in all seasons.

3. Trusal Covered Bridge

You may have heard Trusal Bridge referred to as Dice's Bridge; both are common names for the covered bridge. The bridge is known for a few things. It's the oldest, built in 1870, and the shortest bridge in Indiana County. It measures just 41 feet. Trusal Bridge sits near Harmon Bridge. 4. Thomas Covered Bridge

Built in 1879, Thomas Covered Bridge crosses Crooked Creek and originally cost just under $550 to build. When it was reconstructed in 1998, the total bill came to $1 million. One of many charming covered bridges in Pennsylvania, this one measures 85 feet long.
