Residents of Eagles Mere have been barreling down the hill on the best toboggan ride in Pennsylvania, since 1904.
The slide, which whisks riders down the hill at speeds of up to 45 miles per hour, features individual 12 inch blocks of ice, each of which weighs 256 pounds.
After an estimated 380 "man hours" of construction, the winter slide in Pennsylvania is ready for its first riders of the season.
Rent a toboggan for $25 an hour with a maximum rental of one hour.
Toboggan rentals are available until an hour before closing and riders are guaranteed at least two runs down the hill.
Cap off your winter adventure with a steaming hot chocolate or another treat at the snack shack as you stand in front of a cozy fire.
Plan your old-fashioned winter adventure in Eagles Mere. Zip down the toboggan slide on Fridays from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
