Chocolate Lovers Rejoice: Oregon’s Annual Festival Is a March Must

This is the most delicious spring festival in the Beaver State and it's FULL of chocolate.

If I had to plan my perfect day, it would consist of friends and family, excitement, and lots of chocolate. That’s why you can be certain I’ve placed the 22nd Annual Oregon Chocolate Festival on my calendar. This weekend event in Ashland, Oregon, is for individuals of all ages with chocolate-themed games for kids, chocolate tastings, a chocolate brunch, and a chocolate maker’s wine dinner for adults. Believe us, chocolate lovers will not want to miss this delicious spring event.

Ashland, Oregon is considered one of the best small art towns in America. This beautiful Oregon city is home to approximately 21,000 people and is where you can attend one of the most popular and well-known events in the Beaver State — the Oregon Shakespeare Festival. However, every March, Ashland hosts another event that chocoholics, those with a sweet tooth, and even chocolate makers will not want to miss — the annual Oregon Chocolate Festival.

Mark your calendars for March 6 to March 8, 2026, to attend Oregon’s Chocolate Festival. This spring event has been tantalizing taste buds for 22 years, and it’s the perfect weekend event for a couple’s getaway or even a family adventure.

The festival begins in the perfect way possible — a Chocolate Maker’s Wine Dinner at the Historic Ashland Springs Hotel. This Friday night dinner features a multi-course menu by an award-winning executive chef. Tickets are required, and you won’t want to delay as they sell out quickly.

Of course, this is just the beginning of the delicious meals offered. On Saturday and Sunday mornings, you can attend the popular Chocolate Brunch. Here, you’ll enjoy a buffet-style menu with incredible, mouthwatering chocolate dishes ranging from a chocolate fountain to chocolate and banana bread pudding. Again, tickets are required, and I recommend you purchase them early. This year, the festival is also hosting mixology events like Chocolate Happy Hour and Cocoa & Cocktails.

Throughout the weekend, you can attend the Festival Vendors Marketplace, featuring products from chocolate makers all over the West Coast, winemakers, and other artisans. I also recommend that you give yourself plenty of time to attend an educational session to learn more about chocolate making from the experts. And don't miss the chocolate tasting events, which are perfect for trying new and unusual flavors.

Even children will find something to love at this annual spring festival. They'll stay busy with chocolate-themed games and activities, including face painting, a chocolate gnome hunt, and a Wonka Chocolate Costume Contest. Plus, all kids under the age of 8 can enter the event for free.

However, if you want to turn this weekend into a romantic stay or a chocolate lover’s escape (this is my type of getaway!), consider booking one of the overnight packages, complete with a room at a local hotel, two-day festival tickets, a welcome bag, and more.
