Enchanted Forest Is A Fascinating Spot in Oregon That’s Straight Out Of A Fairy Tale

Enchanted Forest in Turner, Oregon, offers a magical amusement park experience for all ages with themed districts and affordable entry fees.

Life is a series of ordinary moments broken up by a few fairytale moments. And while ordinary life in Oregon is always fantastic, spending some time at Enchanted Forest will make your life a little more magical, no matter what your age may be. This unique amusement park is a wonderful place for both children and kids at heart.

Enchanted Forest is located in the small town of Turner, just south of Salem.

The park opened in 1971, after Roger Tofte spent seven years on planning and construction.

Park founder Roger Tofte was a father to four young children in the 1960s when he got the idea to create the park.

He realized there wasn't much for a family to do in the Salem area, so he set out to change that. Almost everyone in his life thought he was foolish, but he still managed to pull it off despite having very little money or spare time.

Nearly five decades later, Enchanted Forest is still going strong.

The park has been renovated and expanded several times, but it always maintains its nostalgic charms.

Enchanted Forest is divided into various districts with different themes.

The attractions are inspired by Alice in Wonderland, Mother Goose, and Grimms' Fairy Tales, just to name a few.

The Tiny Tune Train is popular among young visitors.

They also tend to gravitate toward Storybook Lane, which has everything from Alice in Wonderland's rabbit hole to a witch's castle.

The Big Timber Log Ride is a blast for kids and adults alike.

Each ride costs between $2 and $4, and there's truly something for everyone.

In addition to practically every storybook character you can imagine, the park is home to an Old European Village, Tofteville Western Town, and lots of live entertainment including a comedy theatre.

And while you're welcome to bring your own picnic lunch, you can also treat yourself to some pizza and ice cream from The Jolly Roger.

Despite all there is to do at Enchanted Forest, the entrance fee is quite affordable.

Spending a day here will set you back a mere $14.50 ($13 for children 2 and over). And it's worth every penny to see this fantastic place.

Enchanted Forest is open to the public, although current conditions have led to some new rules and regulations. Find out more and plan your visit here.
