With the kids down to their last dog days of summer before school starts, (or perhaps they've already started back to school), we think the perfect way to end the summer season is with a family trip to some little-known Ohio water parks. Take a day to enjoy some last-minute fun in the sun before the leaves start to change and your fall schedule really starts to kick in. Here are 11 of the best water parks in Ohio to visit before summer ends:
1. Water Works Aquatic Center (Cuyahoga Falls)
This northeast Ohio water park is a hidden gem for visitors and a favorite summer destination for locals. It features multiple water slides, a lazy river, spray fountains, a zero-depth entry pool, and more. Water Works Aquatic Center is located at 2025 Munroe Falls Ave., Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44221. 2. Troy Aquatic Park (Troy)
Troy Aquatic Park features two large water slides, a drop slide, a diving board, a baby pool, and an interactive splash area. It is located at 460 West Staunton Drive, Troy, OH 45373.
3. Long's Retreat Family Resort (Latham)
This southern Ohio family resort in Latham has transformed its swimming hole into a mini water park, complete with a splash pad, diving board, and three water slides. It is located at 50 Bell Hollow Rd., Latham, OH 45646. Camp here and make a weekend out of it.
4. Lincoln Park Family Aquatic Center (Marion)
With multiple water slides for the little ones (and not-so-little ones), this little-known water park is fun for the whole family. It is located at 879 N Prospect St., Marion, OH 43302.
5. Tippecanoe Family Aquatic Center (Tipp City)
This family friendly water park features a spray ground area, two water slides, diving boards, and three different pools to accommodate all age groups. Tippecanoe Family Aquatic Center is located at 225 Park Ave., Tipp City, OH 45371.
6. Monsoon Lagoon Waterpark (Port Clinton)
With a zoo, putt-putt golf, go-karts, and other family fun activities on site, you'll have a blast at this amazing water park, (which features multiple water slides, a lazy river, and so much more.) 7. Baylor Beach Park (Navarre)

8. Beachwood Family Aquatic Center (Beachwood)

9. Splash Zone Waterpark (Springfield)
This western Ohio water park is a hidden gem that locals love. It is located at 300 Eagle City Rd., Springfield, OH
10. Groveport Aquatic Center (Groveport)
You'll find a lazy river, spray ground, water slides, divining boards, and a zero-depth entry pool at this family-favorite aquatic center in central Ohio. It's one of the more toddler friendly water parks. It is located at 7370 Groveport Rd., Groveport, OH 43125.
11. Coney Island (Cincinnati) - CLOSED
Editor's note: Unfortunately, Coney Island and Sunlite Pool have permanently closed.This amusement park is also home to a truly fun water park in Cincinnati. Here you'll find multiple water slides, and the famous "Sunlite Pool," which is the largest flat-surface swimming pool in North America.
