It’s Okay To Find Yourself In A Pickle At This Dill-ightful Festival In Akron, Ohio

I'm going to start this article with a sincere apology for anyone who eschews pickles... and puns. Because I have an unabashed love for both, and so to find an Ohio pickle festival just around the corner, well, let's just say my pickle-and-pun loving heart is dillighted. Happening August 13 in Akron, Ohio, the eponymous Akron Pickle Fest is an epic end-of-summer festival that's, well, quite a big dill.

There are people who like pickles and people who don't like pickles. I happen to be in the camp that relishes these wonderfully sweet and sour cucumbers that have been pickled to crispy, crunch perfection.

Due to an abundant cucumber crop at my parents' CSA, I've had the good fortune of being flush with fresh fare for pickling, and have taken to preparing my own sweet and sour pickle chips at home.
