You Can Drive Through The 7 Acres Of Christmas Lights At Piper Lights In North Carolina Without Spending A Dime
Piper Lights in Wake Forest offers a free, drive-thru Christmas light display spanning seven acres, making it a must-visit holiday attraction in North Carolina.
There is a family in the Triangle (in Wake Forest) that’s been putting up holiday lights for 30 years! At Piper Lights, you can see some of the best Christmas lights in North Carolina – and with good reason! This light show has grown to more than seven acres of twinkling lights that you can drive through – absolutely free of charge. This is a magnificent way to enjoy North Carolina at Christmas.
Found at 5725 Fixit Shop Road in Wake Forest, Piper Lights is a must-visit holiday attraction each year for many families in the Triangle.
Drive along and just admire the illumination. In previous years you could get out and enjoy other things, but due to the pandemic, this year's event is a drive-thru experience only.
Enjoy twinkling light displays and other holiday scenes as you make your way along the route that travels through seven acres on the family property.
You won't be getting out for hot chocolate or warm apple cider this year, but that doesn't mean you can't bring your own and enjoy it in your car as you listen to Christmas music and maybe even sing along.
You'll see Santa many times on the drive-thru lights experience... and we hope that next year, you'll be able to get out and meet the real Santa once again.
Piper Lights opens the day after Thanksgiving and typically runs through January 1. Admission is absolutely free; however, donations are always welcome.
Please don't get out and walk through the displays this year and remember that the busiest nights with the longest wait times will be on Friday and Saturday evenings.
Piper Lights is 25 minutes northeast of Raleigh, 45 minutes east of Rocky Mount, and an hour and 15 minutes north of Fayetteville.
