Don’t Miss The Most Magical Halloween Event In All Of Charlotte

Are you ready for the ultimate Halloween event? This weekend, Charlotte's CRAFTED marketing agency will host their annual GUTS Pumpkin Carving Contest at BB&T Ballpark. This fun event is one that the whole family will enjoy, and GUTS offers an amazing opportunity to show your spirit while also supporting a good cause. Take a look at some of our favorite things about this awesome pumpkin carving contest and check it out yourself on Saturday, October 21st!

This year will be the 9th Annual GUTS Pumpkin Carving Contest in Charlotte.

What originally began as an internal team building event at CRAFTED has grown into an epic community event that many Charlotte residents look forward to each year.

Individuals and teams gather at BB&T Ballpark to show off their creative talent by carving exquisite designs into pumpkins, gourds, and other fall vegetables.

This awesome Halloween event also doubles as a fundraiser. All proceeds from the GUTS Pumpkin Carving Contest are donated to the Make-A-Wish Foundation in Charlotte to help kids who may not be able to celebrate Halloween with trick-or-treating.

Money is raised through ticket sales, carver registration fees, pumpkin sales, as well as food and beverage sales.

Last year, this one event alone raised more than $40,000 for the Make-A-Wish Foundation!

If you're attending as a spectator, tickets are only $10 per person and will guarantee a whole lot of fun.

If you're feeling creative and want to show off your skills, the fee to participate in the pumpkin carving contest is $50 per individual.

The festivities begin at 2 p.m. and go on until 5:30 p.m.

Pumpkin carvers have 90 minutes to create their masterpieces, and judging begins at 4 p.m. In addition the competition judged by professionals, there is a People's Choice Award, where attendees can vote for their favorite pumpkin.

Be prepared to see some amazing carvings that you would have never imagined!

This mallard made out of pumpkins, squash, and gourds is just one example of the types of intricate designs you'll see at this event.

This event encourages carvers from all over the city to participate, and you'll be stunned with the unique ideas that the teams come up with.

It's absolutely fascinating to watch the pumpkin artists at work.

Throughout the day, guests can wander around and purchase their own pumpkins and fall decor.

The event also offers tons of great food, beverages, and fun activities, like a Halloween themed photo booth, trick-or-treating for the kids, and a Halloween-themed raffle.

The event wraps up with an awesome after party at Murphy's Kitchen & Tap on Trade Street.

GUTS Charlotte will be held on Saturday, October 21st 2017. The event takes place at BB&T Ballpark, located at 324 S Mint St., Charlotte, NC 28202. Parking costs only $1, and you'll find lots at 531 West 4th Street (closest to the ballpark), 600 West Trade Street, and 520 West 5th Street.
