The North Park Theatre has been a Buffalo icon since its opening in 1920.

The theatre was operated under Dipson Theatres until it was repurchased in 2013.

North Park Theatre was originally called "Shea's North Park." And yes, it is tied to Shea's Performing Arts Center.

Both venues were owned by Michael Shea as part of the former Shea's theatre chain.

After it was purchased, the theatre closed for just under a year.

During this time, extensive renovations were made to the interior of the building. The renovations took roughly 8 months to complete.

The theatre's history is impressive, but the interior features are what will truly blow you away.

The updates were clearly worth it, as you'll see once you step inside North Park Theatre. A single-screen and neoclassical elements will transport you to a new era.

The most impressive part? The intricately decorated plaster dome on the ceiling.
