We're always so excited for the seasons to change ... until we remember how difficult it is to be outside during winter. The cold can get pretty unbearable in New Jersey, which definitely cuts down on the available activities. Luckily, there are plenty of fun indoor winter activities where people of all ages can have a good time while avoiding the chill.

1. Paranormal Museum

Maybe you can cast a spell to make it warm again here? This bookstore in Asbury Park is filled with oddities. This is one of our favorite New Jersey indoor winter activities.

2. Xtreme Energy

Look at this turtle. Couldn't you watch it float around all day? Visit Camden's Adventure Aquarium to see more of these adorable sea creatures. The Aquarium is one of our favorite things to do indoors during the winter.

Blacklight Mini Golf might be one of the coolest mini golf courses we've seen — and it's all indoors at the American Dream Mall. We love winter in New Jersey!

8. The Hermitage

Visiting this historic home in Ho-Ho-Kus, New Jersey, will remind you how lucky you are to have heat today (just kidding — sort of). The 14-room Gothic Revival mansion is a great history lesson and very pretty. The perfect winter indoor activity!
