New Jersey is known for having a lot of water parks (this is a state that loves its water time, whether it's in a pool or at the shore). On one hand, that means there are a ton of options to try out, but on the other, it means it can be hard to figure out which one you need to visit right now. We're to help: In our opinion, Runaway Rapids Water Park is one of the coolest water parks in New Jersey.
Runaway Rapids Water Park is fun for adults AND kids - that's not an easy balance to strike.
Located right by the beach, the water park is part of Keansburg Amusement Park.
First off, there are a ton of slides of varying heights and thrill factors. Adrenaline junkies and those looking for a more peaceful ride will both be pleased.
Some are done with inner tubes, others you just take yourself down. Either way, you're having an adventure.
Once you tire of the slides, there are swimming pools and hot tubs to take a dip in.
Splash around and play, or simply soak and relax! There is enough space for you to have options.
One of the highlights is the lazy river, though. It's such a nice way to get in the water and spend the day!
Hop into that inner tube and let the river carry you.
The park also has a designated area for little ones, so they can splash and romp around to their hearts' content.
Almost every small child loves standing under one of those water mushrooms.
And of course, if being in the water all day isn't your thing, there are plenty of lounge chairs right by the pools.
Watch your friends and family play as you lay back, tan, and have a drink.
Tickets are affordable, too: $33 for three hours, and only $18 for toddlers. And keep in mind you can always chase more thrills at the adjoining amusement park, or visit the beach when you're done with your water park experience.
