This One-Of-A-Kind Festival In New Jersey Is A Book Lover’s Dream Come True

The Morristown Festival Of Books is a major literary event in New Jersey featuring author talks, book signings, and family-friendly activities.

"A reader lives a thousand lives before he dies..." This line from George R.R. Martin's, A Dance with Dragons, couldn't be more true. Books can take us to new worlds, help us walk in someone else's shoes. Every story is an adventure, whether we're 20,000 Leagues Under The Sea or hitchhiking through the galaxy. Those who truly love literature can never get enough and one wonderful way to celebrate that is a festival of books! You'll find one of the best right here in Morristown, New Jersey.

The Morristown Festival Of Books is now in its 5th year.

It is one of the largest literary festivals in New Jersey and has a lot to offer!

You can expect to find a multitude of writer selling, signing, and speaking.

This year's lineup has not been released but previous authors have included Mary Higgins Clark, Laurie Hernandez, R.L. Stine, and Ishmael Beah.

Two days of fun, the main event will take place on Saturday, October 13th.

More than forty authors will give in-person talks and hold Q&A sessions at five venues along South Street. These sessions are free, no tickets required; general seating on a first-come, first-served basis.

People come from all over to connect with authors but there's so much more to do than buy a few books and get some autographs...

There will be contests, concessions, and children's activities that include live music, writing games, and more!

Fun for the whole family, you're sure to learn something new while having a blast. For festival updates or to enter writing contests, check out their website by clicking here. To learn more about what Morristown has to offer (restaurants, attractions, etc.), click here.
