This Insane New Jersey Amusement Park Ride Is Breaking World Records

New Jersey, known as the Amusement Park Capital of America, boasts record-breaking rides at Six Flags Great Adventure, including the world's tallest pendulum ride, Wonder Woman's Lasso of Truth.

New Jersey is known as the Amusement Park Capital of America, and with good reason. We have a long history of award-winning and record-breaking parks, plus we've got 20 terrific amusement parks in our tiny state (the 5th smallest in America by land volume). New Jersey's newest record-breaking ride recently opened, and it's among the most amazing thrill rides in the world...

If you've lived in New Jersey for any length of time, you're probably familiar with Six Flags Great Adventure. (You may call it Six Flags, or Great Adventure...let us know which.)

The park has had a number of record breaking rides including El Toro, a roller coaster which once held the record for the steepest drop of any wooden roller coaster in the world at 76 degrees.

Kingda Ka is the world's tallest roller coaster and the world's second-fastest roller coaster. Zumanjaro is the world's tallest drop tower, and Bizarro was the world's first floorless roller coaster.

The newest ride at Six Flags is Wonder Woman's Lasso of Truth. It is the tallest pendulum ride in the world.

The ride is 17 stories tall and propels passengers 172 feet in the air at a whopping 75 miles per hour.

Sound amazing? It is! If you'd like to see this thrilling ride in action, check out the short video below by InTheLoop:
