Is there anything better than a trip to the comic book store on new comic day? Certainly not for me as a kid growing up in the 90s. I would race there to grab the new books off the rack as soon as school let out every Wednesday. A lot has changed since then, of course - many people get their comics through digital services or online subscriptions, but a few comic book stores are still going strong. One of them is Main Street Comics & Toys, probably the best comic book store in NJ. This Milltown store does a little bit of everything - it's packed every Wednesday for new releases, of course, but it also has a massive selection of vintage back issues. For those seeking the ultimate nostalgia fix, though, head into the collectible and toy rooms and prepare for a blast from the past!

Since 1991, this friendly neighborhood store has been welcoming guests for new comic book day and every other day.

Not only are the new comics there every week, but this store has a massive selection of back issues - some going back decades.

If you're more into gaming than reading, there is also an extensive selection of playing and collectible cards.

Superhero cards were a huge business in the 1990s, and you can still find many of those vintage sets here.

The collectibles and action figure section of the store is no less impressive - filled with rare and hard-to-find figures.

This might just be the only place in New Jersey where you can find toys based on decades-old movies, for that ultimate childhood flashback! Many of the companies that made them no longer exist, so these are amazing finds.
