The Beautiful Windsor Covered Bridge Walk In New Hampshire Will Completely Mesmerize You

Enjoy a short, scenic walk near Cornish, New Hampshire, featuring the beautiful Cornish-Windsor Bridge and views of the Connecticut River.

You might get tired of us saying this, but loving the outdoors of New Hampshire does not have to be synonymous with lacing up some serious hiking boots and breaking a sweat. There are plenty of things you can do outside without summitting a mountain or staying out for 8 hours at a time. This short walk near Cornish provides great views and you can do it on your way to lunch!

The Cornish-Windsor Bridge makes its way onto a lot of lists sharing the best bridges in the state. And they're all correct, it's a beauty!

But what some people don't know is that it's actually a part of one of the most lovely walks in the state.

The total walk is just a bit over a half-mile. It's 0.7 in its entirety.

You can park on either end, nearby the bridge. You're likely to see other cars that have stopped to explore the area. Aim to park near the corner of Main Street and Bridge Street.

Then, you'll follow Bridge Street towards the Connecticut River where the bridge spans.

The views over the river are beautiful.

And you'll even be able to see Mt. Ascutney.

Be sure to look out for the Bald Eagles in this area as well! Once you've crossed the bridge, you'll turn around head back to where you started. Easy peasy!
