This 60-Minute New Hampshire Sleigh Ride Takes You Through A Winter Wonderland

New Hampshire offers magical sleigh rides at Charmingfare Farm, providing a unique and cozy winter experience.

Winter in New Hampshire might be harsh, but without the season, we might not have the same type of atmospheric, cozy conditions that we love about being here during the colder months. Plus, we wouldn’t be able to enjoy some of our favorite winter activities in New Hampshire. There are lots of ways to make the season special, but one of the best is by getting outside and experiencing the great Granite State outdoors… including the snow! In fact, the snow just might be the best thing about the season, since it affords us the opportunity to go on magical sleigh rides in New Hampshire. New Hampshire sleigh rides offer a unique way to enjoy winter; here are a few of our favorites.

This winter, enjoy one of the most beautiful sleigh rides in New Hampshire at Charmingfare Farm in Candia.

These sleigh rides are considered some of the best in New England and they offer two different ways to enjoy the experience.

The first is great for those who don't mind sharing the experience with others.

The Logging Sleds can accommodate up to 16 people and travel through the snow, passing the farm's grazing cattle and horses in their winter pastures.

You're also likely to see native turkeys, foxes, coyotes, deer, and even moose, only adding to the reasons these sleigh rides are among the best winter activities in New Hampshire.

The route travels along old logging trails, which means these trips contain a bit of history as well.

After about 40 minutes, the sleigh arrives at a bonfire. Here, visitors can enjoy the snacks they've brought along, including s'mores and hot dogs. Basically, anything that tastes better over a campfire is a great thing to bring along!

If you prefer to put a spin on your adventure and enjoy your sleigh rides a bit more romantic, you can purchase the entire logging sled for you and a loved one.

Or, for something even more special you can book the smaller Vis-A-Vis Sleigh.

Putting an old-fashioned twist on New Hampshire sleigh rides, the vis-a-vis sleighs are modeled after typical 18th-century-style sleighs and they're cozy as can be.

These sleighs can accommodate up to four people and their smaller size allows for a journey off the beaten path on secondary trails.
