'Tis the season for gift giving! You can travel all over the state for the perfect gifts, but that's time consuming and includes paying for lots of gas. You can also go straight to the mall, but that's not quite as much fun as exploring the local shops and businesses that exist all over New Hampshire. To make things easy and definitely more interesting, we recommend visiting this quintessential New Hampshire store. They might not have was you need - but they have everything else!
Zeb's General Store is known throughout the the state as one of the most quirky shopping experiences you can find.
Named after Zebulon Northrop Tilton, a local schooner captain who married three different wives, this store is as unique as the colorful New England folk hero.
It opened in 1991 with just two employees in a tiny 200 square foot spot. Their dream was to one day become the go-to place for local New England goods of all types.
Today, they occupy an entire house on Main Street in North Conway.
Every nook and cranny is filled with gifts for friends and loved ones, including maple syrup, hand crafted art and snacks.
You won't find more local, hand-picked goods anywhere!
Including tons of modern and vintage candies.
You'll find a great candy counter, which means you might want to keep track of your children! It's hard to resist!
There's even an entire area devoted to Coke products. Those who love the old-fashioned world of Coke will love this place.
It's especially magical during Christmastime.
Whether you buy something or simply come in to take a look while shopping along Main Street, this place is worth the stop!
