This Children’s Museum In Dover Was Rated The Best In New Hampshire It’s A Great Way To Fill The Day
The Children's Museum of New Hampshire in Dover offers interactive and educational exhibits for kids of all ages.
It's not always easy to entertain curious kids without a little outside help. When the weather's nice, heading out for a hike or to the water is a great way to do it. But, here in New Hampshire that's not always a reliable way to plan the day. That's why we're always on the lookout for activities and attractions that can be enjoyed in any kind of weather. Bonus points if the kids actually ask to go! This museum was recently voted one of the best in the state and it's great for both kids and adults!
The Children's Museum of New Hampshire, located in Dover, is consistently ranked as one of the best museums for kids in New England.
And we're super lucky that it's right here in New Hampshire! The museum is chock-full of brightly colored play areas and corners to learn and grow.
Exhibits throughout the museum offer kids the chance to learn everything from science to math to global cultures.
We love the One World exhibit that features three different spaces allowing visitors to experience different cultures from around the world.
The museum is great for all ages and Primary Place offers a space for kids from birth to 3 years to play safely.
Just about everything here is interactive making this more than just a museum. It's a place to stay busy while learning about the world. Most times kids won't even know they're in an educational environment.
In addition to toys, there are also spaces that foster imagination and curiosity.
In spaces like the Thinkering Lab, kids can test different design ideas and bring them to life. There aren't many places today where kids can have hands-on ways of using their creativity and that's what helps make this place so special.
The museum has also recently added a Play Patio with things like sensory tables, water painting and chalk spinning.
Plan on a morning or afternoon at the museum and be sure to add in some time to have a picnic on the lawn. This is the type of place you can enjoy all day, both indoors and out!
