Welcome Spring At The Baker Creek Tulip Festival In Missouri This April

We all have treasured traditions – from sitting in the stands on the opening day of baseball season to planting gardens – that make spring so special. But even just the longer, warmer days make spring arguably the most anticipated season. Spring is also the time when our schedules start to overflow with outdoor activities and fun events like this tulip festival in Mansfield, Missouri.

Kick off the season of festivals at the Tulip Festival at Baker Creek Heirloom Seed Company in Mansfield. The two-day festival is set for April 7-8, 2024, and will run from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. both days.

If the date looks familiar, that’s because the Tulip Festival coincides with the total solar eclipse that will be visible in parts of Missouri. Mansfield is expected to experience about 95 percent coverage, so be sure to bring your glasses if you’re coming to the festival on Monday, April 8.

Stroll past the rows and rows of colorful tulips; snap photos, and check out the full schedule of events, including several expert speakers. The festival will host, among others, writer and vegetable gardener Mitch McCulloch, California gardener Wendi Phan, and Shiloh Farm owner Noah Young.

A lineup of entertainment, from storytelling to traditional bluegrass music, is also planned as well as activities for the kiddos.

Carve out time to explore the collection of vendors, too, who will be selling everything from food to plants. Food trucks will also attend, so you can grab a delicious bite to eat.

Admission to the festival is free. If you are driving, you must purchase a parking pass ahead of time. The two-day passes cost $15 per vehicle. RVs, trailers, and vehicles over 20 feet will require two parking passes.

Pups are allowed at the Tulip Festival. However, all dogs must be leashed. If your pooch makes a mess, you must clean up after him.
