This One-Of-A-Kind Blues Festival, Blues At The Arch, Happens Right Here In Missouri

Already in the midst of an action-packed summer, we have even more to look forward to as the season moves along. Some of the best festivals of the summer, in fact, are right on the horizon. If you’re a fan of blues music, you definitely don’t want to miss this one-of-a-kind blues festival in St. Louis, Missouri. It’s the only one of its kind in the United States.

The eighth annual Blues at the Arch Festival returns to Gateway Arch National Park on Friday and Saturday, August 11-12, 2023 with a Blues Brunch set for Sunday, August 13.

Billed as the only festival “of its kind to take place on national park grounds,” The Blues at the Arch is a free event that celebrates the end of summer with some of the best blues music of the year.

Emceed by Tammie Holland on opening night, musical performances will be held at the Whittaker Foundation Stage. Performances by Miz Renee Smith and Sugaray Rayford are set for Friday evening, beginning at 5:15 p.m.

Saturday morning kicks off with a session of Sunrise Yoga at 10 a.m. before a full day of performances gets underway. Among those set to perform on Saturday include Dwayne Burnside, Carolyn Wonderland, and Larry McCray Band.

The blues festival will also feature such family-friendly fun as Kids Korner. The kiddos can check out the musical petting zoo, color, and play yard games.

Adults can enjoy drinks from 4 Hands Brewing Company, and there will be food trucks on hand, too.

Saturday evening caps off with an epic fireworks show at 8 p.m.

While the music festival ends Saturday, you can also purchase tickets for a special Blues Brunch at 612North on Sunday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The brunch features a generous buffet that features everything from prime rib to vegan-friendly dishes.
