The Small Town Of New Albany, Mississippi Just Might Be The Unofficial Antiques Capital Of America
New Albany, Mississippi, is renowned for its antique shops, flea markets, and vibrant shopping scene.
Antique shops in Mississippi are plentiful. They’re scattered throughout the state and can be found in even the smallest of towns. One small town in particular, though, seems to reign supreme when it comes to antique shops.
The small town of New Albany might be most known as the “fair and friendly city,” but that’s not all it’s known for.
Despite its small size, New Albany is the recipient of several accolades.
In addition to being dubbed the coolest small town in the state and one of the best small towns in the South, it’s been named one of the top small towns for antiques by House Beautiful, Country Living, and other media outlets.
A majority of the antique shops can be found in New Albany’s downtown.

Great shopping isn’t the only thing that brings people to New Albany, though. For a small town, it’s got lots to offer, including access to the Tanglefoot Trail, the state’s longest rail-trail.
