The Biloxi Fire Museum offers a unique glimpse into over 100 years of local firefighting history through antique equipment, photos, and exhibits.
If you’ve got a burning desire to learn about local history, you’ve got to visit the Biloxi Fire Museum! It may be small in size, but inside, you’ll find antique equipment, photos, and exhibits that cover more than 100 years of history.
From the outside, the Biloxi Fire Museum looks like a firehouse – and that’s because it is!
The museum is located inside an actual firehouse from 1937.
The fact that it’s a museum may not be obvious from the outside, but inside, it’s quite clear. Just about every inch of the interior boasts photos, exhibits, and artifacts.
There are fire trucks, too.
Spanning 120 years, the collection of memorabilia brings the history of the Biloxi Fire Department to life.
As you peruse the collection, you’ll find information on everything from the equipment used to innovations made by the department.
Perhaps even more impressive than the expansive and informative collection is the fact that the museum is run entirely by volunteers!
