Lights Of The Wild At Hattiesburg Zoo Is The First And Only Event Of Its Kind In Mississippi
Seeing light displays is one of the most wonderful things to do during the holidays in Mississippi. There are amazing holiday light displays all over the Magnolia State. Some have been around for years, while others, like Lights of the Wild in Mississippi, have recently made their debut. Slated to take place at the Hattiesburg Zoo, these holiday zoo lights in Mississippi are made up of hundreds of glowing lanterns, which come in all sorts of shapes and sizes. Take a look at the best zoo lights in Mississippi:
Every year, the Hattiesburg Zoo celebrates the holidays with an all-new – and unbelievably beautiful - light display, Lights of the Wild.
Like pure Christmas magic, Lights of the Wild is made of hundreds of glowing lanterns.
The stunning display has been in the works for quite some time with workers spending hours strategically placing lanterns throughout the zoo.
The lanterns come in all sorts of shapes, including animals, plants, and Asian elements. The sizes of the lanterns are just as varied – some of the lanterns are upwards of 19 feet tall and 50 feet long.
Completely unique, Lights of the Wild is the first and only event of its kind in Mississippi. There’s more to the display than glowing lanterns, though. Admission to Lights of the Wild also includes unlimited rides on the zoo’s train and carousel.
Animal encounters are part of the festive event, too.
Attendees can also take part in story time with Mrs. Claus and pose for pictures with Santa.
The photo-ops don’t end with Santa Claus, though. Elsa and Anna from Frozen will also be on hand for pictures.
