Only in Mississippi for a few months, you’ll want to mark your calendar for this can’t-miss event. Take a look:
Lakeview Terrace Convention Center in Hattiesburg hosts a slew of great events throughout the year, and this year, one of those “great events” is Dinosaurs Around The World.
An Imagine Exhibitions production, Dinosaurs Around The World has been showcased at museums and venues around the world, and now it’s Mississippi’s turn.
The world-renowned exhibit opened on October 29, 2020, and will remain in Hattiesburg until January 10, 2021. It’s open every Thursday – Sunday, from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.
With animatronics, a multi-layered narrative, fossils, authentic casts, cutting-edge research and immersive design, the exhibit brings the Age of Reptiles to life.
Bound to be unlike anything you’ve ever experienced, the convention center has been transformed into the Earth of yesteryear.
As you meander around the exhibit, you’ll be transported to a time before the continents as we know them existed and dinosaurs freely roamed the Earth.
Intricately detailed and animated, the dinosaurs are sure to make an impression on visitors of all ages. The fact that the dinosaurs are in motion is just part of the appeal, though.
Dinosaurs Around The World features information about the geologic time scale, geology, geography, and climatology.
But we haven’t even mentioned some of the exhibit’s best perks yet – one of which is the minimal $10-admission.
And that leads us to another part of the exhibit’s allure – it’s for a good cause. Yep, all ticket sales benefit the construction of a new education center at the Hattiesburg Zoo.
For more information, call the convention center at (601) 268-3220. You can also visit the Dinoburg website or Lake Terrace Convention Center Facebook page.
