1. The Detroit Flea (3400 Russell Street, Eastern Market)

This delightful gathering of local artists, consigners, and shopkeepers comes together annually in the Eastern Market district of Detroit. You’ll find everything from awesome vintage dresses to jewelry to repurposed home decor items. 2. Eastern Market Antiques (2530 Market Street)

Also located in the eclectic Eastern Market District of Detroit, this antique shop is like a flea market with an extra dash of fanciness. It’s open Tuesday-Saturday on a weekly basis, and it’s a great spot to search for everything from vintage clothing to dining room tables.

3. The Rust Belt Market (22801 Woodward Ave, Ferndale)

This weekend marketplace in Ferndale is well worth the short drive out of the city. The Rust Belt is regularly cited as one of the top spots to purchase locally made arts and crafts in the Metro Detroit area, and it’s easy to see why. Stop in for a little exploration — you might just find your new favorite conversation piece.

4. Boston-Edison Attic Sales

This annual event happens each summer in the historic Boston-Edison neighborhood of Detroit. Over 50 homeowners set out tables and sell everything from gently worn furniture to stunning household decor. 5. Royal Oak Flea Market (316 E 11 Mile Rd, Royal Oak)

Venture to Royal Oak for a day at this extensive flea market, which opens each Sunday between 8 and 3. No matter what you’re searching for, you’ll surely be able to find it here. With an unbeatable range of items and prices, look no further than Royal Oak when you’re in the mood to bring home something awesome. The best part? This flea market is adjacent to the Royal Oak Farmers Market, so you can pick up some delicious fresh produce while you’re there.

6. Dixieland Flea Market (2045 Dixie Hwy, Waterford Township)

As one of the state’s most massive flea markets, Dixieland is more of an experience than a place. Peruse row after row of unique items, from the bizarre to the beautiful. You can even stop in for lunch at the on-site food court, which will give you plenty of energy for a long day of thrifting.

7. Greenfield Flea Market (12620 Greenfield Rd) (permanently closed)

This Detroit gem is an interesting combination of old items and new. The market prides itself on a wide selection of merchandise, including speciality jewelry, shoes, and furniture. Looking to sell some of your own items? You can even rent out your own booth space at Greenfield, which is open weekly between Wednesday and Saturday.
