One of the coolest places to shop also happens to be one of the most iconic and historic in the state. Faneuil Hall Marketplace in Massachusetts is a one-of-a-kind destination for shopping and dining. Anyone who visits Boston makes a stop at Faneuil Hall and there are plenty of reasons why.

In 1742, Faneuil Hall was built and became a center of commerce and meeting in the city of Boston. Back then, meat, fish, and produce sellers called this hall home.

Today, Faneuil Hall Marketplace is made of four buildings: Faneuil Hall, Quincy Market, North Market, and South Market. There is also a large outdoor space lined with cobblestone where you will find street performers and outdoor restaurant seating.

Inside the marketplace, it's lively and exciting. It's incredible to walk through such a historic place that was built over 275 years old.

Here you can find over 100 retail shops, pushcarts, and kiosks. Shop for anything from clothing and souvenirs to art, music, and more.

You never know what you may find but it sure is fun to look at, especially as the walls that surround you are filled with so much history!

If you're hungry, you'll have your choice of 13 restaurants and 35 food stalls. Head into Quincy Market for the food colonnade that features 30 additional food vendors. It's the largest food hall in the region.
