The One-Of-A-Kind Swamp Tour In Louisiana That’ll Leave You Speechless

Known for its majestic moss-covered cypress trees and an abundance of wildlife, the Atchafalaya Swamp encompasses 1.4 million acres, making it the largest swamp in the country. An experienced guide will lead you through the moss-draped cypress trees telling stories of what it’s like to grow up in the area.

The guides are all native to the area, and they’d love to share their experiences with you.

You’ll learn about the different plant and wildlife that are indigenous to the area and their importance in this complex ecosystem.

An experienced guide/photographer will lead you through the swamp in a canoe so you can get that perfect shot you’ve been waiting for. During the three hour tour, your guide will teach you about photography, the swamp, and give you tips on capturing those instagram worthy images.

From August to October, you can sign up for their sunset tours.

The tour begins at 7pm and offers incredible views of the sunset over the swamp. You’ll experience the Atachafalaya in the whole new light (or lack thereof) while you listen to the beautiful symphonies of the frogs and and crickets. Don’t forget to keep an eye out for the Rougarou :)
