You’ll Love This One Awesome Activity In New Orleans And It Won’t Cost You A Cent

Studio Be in New Orleans offers a powerful and inspiring art experience centered on African American history and the work of Brandan Odums.

If you are interested in a whole new perspective and having an awesome time reveling in art with your family, plan a trip to Studio Be in the Bywater of New Orleans. It's an incredible art gallery of the work of Brandan Odums, who came into prominence after executing some of the most beautiful street art murals New Orleans has ever seen.

Studio Be is found at 2941 Royal St., where it is the first solo gallery show of the artist Brandan Odums.

It's become a huge attraction in the area, and people with Louisiana ID cards are free to enter on Wednesdays, from 2pm-8pm. All other days the gallery is open from 2pm - 8pm.

Once you enter, you will be mesmerized by the beauty and artistry found here.

It is all based in themes of African American history, the long struggle against white supremacy by African Americans in New Orleans and around the country, and what all of this means for us today.

Brandan Odums can sometimes be found around the gallery.

His incredible vision and scope of work makes a chance meeting a really exciting proposition.

School groups often make field trips here, where there is as much to discuss as there is to simply admire.

Also, there are lots of awesome t-shirts you can buy here, including the one pictured here.

One of the most affecting aspects of the show is the intertwining of the struggles following Katrina with a greater narrative of black liberation.

It really takes you on a powerful visual journey that is both full of inspiration and grief.

Perhaps what is most exciting, is how special this is for kids. You are going to love the opportunity to explore here.

We think you are going to love this place more than anything!
