Gator Chateau is located in Jennings, Louisiana, right off of I-10.

Smack dab in the middle between Lake Charles and Lafayette.
Gator Chateau is home to rescued baby alligators that have been injured or abandoned by their mothers.
They rehabilitate the alligators until they are ready to be released back into the wild.
The staff and volunteers that run the facility are very informative and will teach you all about the facility and the alligators they care for.

The best part is that you get to hold a baby alligator!
There’s a guideline posted that explains what sized gator you can safely hold depending on your age (for kids).

Gator Chateau is free to the public, open Monday-Saturday from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.
They also sell souvenirs, so you can have something to remember your experience. The money received from the souvenirs helps with food for the animals, and helps keep the facility open.
