Once the home of Joseph A Biedenharn, the Biedenharn Museum is one of the most fascinating museums in northeastern Louisiana.
Biedenharn, the first bottler of Coca-Cola built the home in 1914, and today you can walk through the space, catching a glimpse at what this family’s life was like.
One of the most popular attractions of this museum is the Coke museum.
Opened in 2008, the Biedenharn Museum showcases two exhibit rooms full of Coca-Cola items including vintage signs and even an authentic Model-T delivery truck.
Of course, the gardens are a huge draw to the museum as well.
The Elsong Gardens are positively enchanting.
The perfectly manicured English garden was designed with several overall themes you’ll encounter along your walk.
This includes the Four Seasons Garden, an Oriental Garden, and the Musical Grotto.
Thousands of plants are nestled along the landscape.
No matter what time of year you visit, something is sure to be in bloom.
The benches peppered throughout are perfect for indulging yourself in a sea of emerald greens and listening to the sounds of the fountain.
On a beautiful day, it’s easy to get lost in thought when the views are this mesmerizing.
Inside the Conservatory, you’ll find even more luscious plants.
You’ll encounter thousands of tropical and semi-tropical plants here, all while listening to soothing background music.
The gardens will open on May 28, 2020, so mark your calendars!
The Coke Museum will open on June 25, 2020.
