This Iconic Holiday Event in Kentucky is the One Thing You Must Do This Season
Christmas at Kentucky Kingdom is brand new in 2024 and expected to be a top family holiday event.
Christmas at Kentucky Kingdom is brand new in 2024 and is expected to be one of the most amazing family holiday activities of the season. The family-friendly theme and water park has transformed into a winter wonderland like no other, with more than 1.5 million dazzling lights, 300 Christmas trees, and endless festive decor. You can expect to be surrounded by holiday cheer at every turn.
Kentucky Kingdom's all-new Christmas celebration runs from Nov. 29, 2024, to Jan. 4, 2025. Admission to the experience is included with season passes and daily admission tickets. While water rides and some attractions won't be available during the event, there are plenty of new things to explore throughout the park.
One of the most anticipated attractions is Kentucky's largest snow tubing hill, called Blizzard Bluff. Standing at four stories tall, 175 feet long, and covered in real snow across eight lanes, the hill will no doubt be the site of many hilarious and happy holiday photos captured this year.
And for more picture-perfect moments, keep an eye out for beloved characters like Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, Bumble, and even Santa Claus himself!
Christmas at Kentucky Kingdom comprises four spectacular activity zones:
- Classic Christmas welcomes guests into a storybook land filled with a massive tree, festive decor, twinkling lights and a children's playland.
- In Holly Jolly Junction™, you can meet Rudolph and Bumble, try your hand at cookie decorating with Clarice, and make your way through the mysterious Misfit Toys™ Maze.
- Over in Santa's Village, get up close and personal with the jolly man himself, share your wish list, and stroll through a mesmerizing 60-foot light tunnel as you count the days to Christmas.
- And then there's the Snow Zone, home to Blizzard Bluff, other snow activities, plus fire pits for huddling up and making s'mores.
With an $8 million investment to produce the event, the park is determined to make this season magical for families who visit. Even better? It will help local children, as well. A portion of the proceeds from each ticket sold will be donated to Norton's Children's Hospital. The park also will host a toy drive for the hospital though Dec. 15. Guests who bring a toy for the drive will get a BOGO coupon for a hot beverage.
Christmas at Kentucky Kingdom is poised to only get bigger and better in the years to come. Shortly after the event's official "snow-breaking" ceremony at Blizzard Bluff this November, the park announced an additional $25 million investment in park attractions over the next two years.
