If There’s One Fall Festival You Attend in Kansas, Make It the Woodbine Fall Festival

Woodbine, Kansas hosts a family-friendly fall festival with various activities and live entertainment.

Fall in Kansas is such a wonderful time. The leaves are changing, the temperature is dropping, and tasty items like pumpkin spice lattes are beginning to appear on coffee shop menus across the Sunflower State. One of our favorite ways to celebrate the season is attending a fall festival in Kansas. Plenty of great ones are all over the state, and one of our favorites is in the tiny town of Woodbine. This small town in Dickinson County has a population of under 150, but you'll find tons of fun at the city's annual celebratory fall event. If there's one fall festival to attend in Kansas this year, make it the Woodbine Fall Festival!

Nothing says fall here in Kansas like a trip to a small-town fall festival, don't you agree? Woodbine may be a small town, but the fall festival here is packed with fun. The 2025 rendition of the Woodbine Fall Festival will be held Saturday, Oct. 18, 2025, kicking off with a parade at 10 a.m. This is a free community event, and all are welcome! However, any money the town earns from the festival is used for community improvements.

Throughout the festival, there will be plenty of family-friendly activities to entertain your entire crew, including a car show, which is always a big hit, no matter how young or old you are. Many local vendors will be selling their wares, so this may be a great time to start buying gifts for the upcoming holiday season, especially if you're looking for something unique and handmade.

You'll find many kid-friendly activities, like potato sack races, hayrides, carriage rides, and more. Another popular part of the festival is one of the entertaining competitions, namely the beard contest and arm wrestling events. You'll definitely want to be a bystander at both of those events, or perhaps you can be a participant!

There will also be live entertainment on stage and a thrilling Wild West Show at noon. This is always a big festival highlight and a great throwback to Kansas's cowboy-laden history. Food will be available on the festival day, so bring some extra money with you in case you get hungry. The Woodbine Fall Festival is a fantastic event that will allow you to experience the community of Woodbine this season, so mark your calendars for Oct. 18, 2025!
