Why Locals Love This 275-Mile Yard Sale in Florida
For more than 22 years, Flea Across Florida has gathered thousands of Florida residents to exchange unique antiques and thrifted items. Locals love the camaraderie and community participation this northern Florida event creates. Whether it's a handmade piece of furniture, a vintage clothing item, or that perfect thing you never knew you needed, you can expect to find it at this historic Florida flea market.
So how does it work, exactly? Vendors from Live Oak, Florida, all the way to Pensacola, Florida—stretching along Highway 90—set up shop with all types of goods, collectibles, vintage treasures, and more. All you need to do is show up at one of the designated event sites and begin shopping! (Here is the Fall 2025 map for reference; the 2026 map hasn't dropped yet.)
One of the primary goals for this community-operated Florida flea market is to help revitalize and support historic communities along the highway. As you shop the yard sale, don't forget to stop by the local businesses for more shopping, a cup of coffee, or a bite to eat. You'll also find that each site is brimming with charm and personality. Here's what one local shop-owner posted on Facebook in July 2025 about their yard-sale event:
"We are definitely getting ready here in Tallahassee! Not only will all of the thrift stores in our little plaza be participating, but we're also having a food truck and sponsoring an event (at our thrift store) with a local dog rescue!"
Tips for Making the Most of This Massive Florida Yard Sale
Before you head to the market in September, stay updated with Flea Across Florida's Facebook. Staff frequently post updates about new vendors and will share the map once available. If you want to participate as a vendor, you can also fill out a form there to join.
Once you've found the Flea Across Florida towns you'd like to focus on, search for parking close to the venues so you can walk. Bring cash with you, too, as not all vendors will accept Venmo, Square, or PayPal. Make sure your car is gassed up, as traveling the width of this market is almost like a Florida road trip. And clear out your car's trunk ahead of time—you'll need all the space you can get for your new treasures!
Try to arrive early to the sales for the best finds and weather conditions. The market runs from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on both Saturday and Sunday. Wear comfortable shoes and breathable clothes, as you'll likely be walking long distances. Resuable bags also come in handy for lugging your purchases.
