Nearly every historic home or building is decked out for the holiday season shortly after Thanksgiving.

Actors and street performers take to the city, ready to wow you with their 17th century appearance.

Every year, performers take on A Christmas Story, and perform the play in the streets of New Castle!

You never know who you'll run into in this historic and preserved colonial town.

When you visit, be sure to stop by the Presbyterian and Methodist Churches, where they serve homemade cookies and warm hot cocoa.

Everyone gets involved with the Spirit of Christmas in New Castle, from local coffee shops to the chic boutiques.

You are even likely to find a living nativity scene, especially as it gets closer to December 25th! There's no limit to the Christmas spirit you'll find in Historic New Castle.

The official Spirit of Christmas Celebration is on Saturday, December 9, from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Tour the decorated private homes and churches, sing along with carolers, and enjoy street performers while you sip hot cocoa.
